Little Keys

First scales

A scale is a staircase of eight notes. You go up the stairs, then back down. Do them in order and always start with C major.

Week 5

C major

Your very first scale. It uses only white keys. Start here and take your time.

C major, right hand

Right hand

Colour is the note. The number is your finger. A wide block means hold it longer.

Press Play to hear it. Then try Your turn!

After finger 3, tuck your thumb under your hand to play F. Keep your wrist still, like carrying a glass of water.

Week 7

G major

Same shape as C major, but starting on sky blue. There is one black key: F sharp.
